Ping Hong is currently Professor in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, China. His academic services include Secretary-General of China National MTI Education Steering Committee, Secretary-General of Ministry of Education Translation Teaching Coordinating Group, and Member of China National Higher Education Examinations Board for Foreign Languages and Literature. His research interests include Linguistics, Translation Studies, and Intercultural Communication. He won several prizes in academic research, such as the Guangzhou Social Sciences Association Award in 2003, the TAC Best Paper Award in 2011, and the Best Teaching Award of Guangdong Province in 2014.
